If you head on foot eastbound along the beach and down along the estuary toward Porthmadog and you will pass the quaint and picturesque village of Borth y Gest. Head westward on foot, and you will soon find yourself on Criccieth beach where you will find the beautifully restored Art Deco building that is home to Dylan’s Seafood Restaurant, popular with locals and visitors alike for its charm, great position on the seafront and tasty food. Perhaps enjoy a world famous Cadwalader’s Ice Cream and take in the majesty of Criccieth Castle.
Taliesin is also situated on the Wales Coast Path. This section will take you along undulating inland paths and back out onto the heights of the cliffs. A perfect experience for walkers of all abilities, and energy levels. Unlike other destinations that can offer you this level of seclusion and exclusivity, Taliesin has another advantage. Here you can avoid the worst of the traffic jams and bottlenecks elsewhere found in the North West of Wales and head out with relative ease for excellent days out. Portmeirion Village, Beddgelert, Snowdon, Caernarfon Castle are but a sample of which you can reach, and be back in time for an evening drink on the terrace, without the added stress of hours of holiday traffic.
Please note, the pinned location on the Google map for this lodge is not in the correct place. The lodge is much closer to the coast than shown.
